Insomnia Sucks, and other dilemmas'

Feb. 27th, 2009 | 06:10 am

Yay, day three of no sleep, and these 4-in-the-morning SevenEleven visits for coffee arn't helping- however, I get my 20 0z. coffee for free because i've made good friends with the graveyard shift guy that works there, he seems so lonely, so why wouldn't I take up on the offer? I make good conversation and get free coffee while helping him keep awake at his job. =D
But, alas, I can't keep living like this. I need some sleep before I go insane. Though this insomnia allows me to make many pictures for my portfolio, none of them are that great. If I got a good amount of sleep, then I'd be able to create half the amount, but they would be good quality. So, I think I must choose quality over quantity.
Also, catching up on my college studies is put in jeopardy. The field I'm studying in needs constant consentration.
The school I'm aiming for is Berkeley Law, and I need to be able to obtain a Masters Degree and a PhD, plus, I need to start visiting facilities and gain experience with serial offenders with psychological problems. (ie; Prisons, Psychiatric hospitals, jails, etcetera)
This includes taking enry-level or volunteer positions at psychiatric facilities.
It's a huge strain on my mind, and I don't want to go back to being dependant on medication for sleep, but it seems I have no choice. I mean, c'mon, three days, no sleep? That's rediculous.

Also, with the current economy crisis, I'm having trouble getting any comissions for any of my artwork, which before was never a problem. People just don't have the money to hire any artists nowadays. So, money is tight for me, and have to cut back on most of which I wanted to do this year. I don't think I'll be able to afford to go to the big muisc festival in LA next month, they're having some great bands play- The Cure, Morrissey, Crystal Castles, Yea Yeah Yeas, She Wants Revenge, The Killers, and a whole host of other awesomness. It's too expensive at this point. So i'm just going to scratch that Idea. *cries*

This WAS what I intended on doing this year, but some of them have been crossed out due to cut backs;

The Birthday Massacre @ Slims SF.- Was able to go! And even meet the band. It was great, and will definitely, regardless of money, see them on their next tour. =D

BLOODS' Final show @ The Knitting factory. - *cried bitter, bitter tears.* It was their last show, ever, and i missed it! Marika got to go, and I'm very happy for her. I choose to feel happy for people and their opportunities, rather than be jealous. Plus she came back with some great photos.

Cochella Festival- The festival I was talking about, I'm going to have to cut this one out. ='[

Fanime 2k9- I"M GOING NO MATTER WHAT!!!!! i've already got the hotel reservations and costume is almost ready. So I'm fucking going... though it will put a huge strain on my bank account.  T_T  Luckily though, i've never missed a credit card payment and have excellent credit.

The Annual Rennaissance Fair. I'm still shooting for this because it's relatively inexpensive.

Depeche Mode- they're playing around the time of mybirthday, so i'm shooting for that. I demand this be my birthday gift!

plus a bunch of other stuff, but, I'm so very exhausted and need to go do something, like, take some klonapin and pass out for a few hours.

END.

forgot again... =O

Feb. 25th, 2009 | 11:41 am
mood: blank blank

I keep on forgetting that i have this livejournal. I should find a new way to remember.
Anyways...

Things involving me lately;

Thing 1.
My dad went to fashion week in  NewYork and Hung out with Betsy Johnson, and my sister and I got personalized bags of make up and other Betsy Johnson goods. Whoo!  I'm so happy my dad is part of the whole "fashion" and "beauty" scene now. Even though I'm not able to attend any of the major events that he's able to, at least he always comes back with High-Quality items for my sister and I.
I feel so spoiled and feel kinda bad... scratch that. I'm spoiled and happy. I love the Sephora, urban Decay, Stila, Betsy Johnson... etcetera! I love it all. ^____^   -Plus I get it all for free! =D  (I just wish i was able to attend fashion week)
*fold arms and pounts*

Thing 2.
Fanime is coming up and I'm working on my costume! this is the first time I've ever spent $80 on a wig, however, it's a very fine quality wig. Speaking of cosplay, my sister took this pretty awesome photo of me cosplaying as Black Lady from Sailor Moon. =D

Sweet, yea?

Thing 3:
I'm becoming overly concerned about my weight again, though, thanks to intensive E.D. therapy, I'm at least aware of the fact that it's all in my head and my perception of myself is distorted. With that being said.... I'm going to shoot to lose another 10 lbs! =D

Thing 4:
I'm working on a new portfolio. I've got one piece down, ad now i'm almost done with my second. I want to create at least 400 pieces by Fanime. Plus, 8 large oil or water color pieces by September for MEATS' anual gallery of Dark art. =o I have no ideas so far. and I'm barely done with pice number two. Damn.

END.

mood: anxious anxious

I know it will be another sleepless night, I'm far too anxious! The voting polls open up tomorrow morning, luckily the voting booths will be just a block away from my house at the community centre, because as soon as they open, I'm heading over there with my mom.
 Here's where I stand on the California propositions so far;

Proposition 1: Yes
Proposition 2: Yes
Proposition 3: Yes
Proposition 4: No
Proposition 5: No
Proposition 6: Yes
Proposition 7: Yes
Proposition 8: No
Proposition 9: Yes
Proposition 10: Yes
Proposition 11: No
Proposition 12: Yes

Well, that's where I stand so far, um, I don't know if it'll change by tomorrow morning.

A new kitty rescued from the streets

Oct. 10th, 2008 | 12:00 am
mood: cheerful cheerful
music: The Cure- the love cats

Yes indeed! He was found in a box at the park by two 7-Eleven employees. They kept him in the store restroom but couldn't keep him there forever so my family and I decided to take him in as a new addition to our family. He gets along great with our other cats. He's been a great addition so far.
Because he's an orange tabby and it's October, we've named him Timmy-Pumpkin.

Wearing a little witches hat.

He's on my lap. >^.^<
